If Friday’s bench press results are a sign of what’s to come for N’Keal Harry at the NFL Combine this weekend, he’s going to test extremely well.
Harry did 27 reps at 225 pounds, tied for the most of any receiver in Indianapolis.
Top official bench press for wide receivers 💪 at #NFLCombine:
1. N’Keal Harry, @ASUFootball, 27
1. D.K. Metcalf, @OleMissFB, 27
3. Jalen Hurd, @BUFootball, 23
4. Felton Davis, @MSU_Football, 21
5. Gary Jennings, @WVUfootball, 20— NFL Draft (@NFLDraft) March 1, 2019
In fact, Harry was just one of five receivers to do at least 20 reps and was one of just two receivers in his group to do 20 reps.
The other receiver to do 27 reps? Ole Miss’ D.K. Metcalf, the viral sensation who weighed in with 1.6 percent body fat at the combine.
If Harry performs well in the rest of his testing, it’ll only increase his chance of getting drafted in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
The wide receiver measured in at 6-foot-2 3/8 inches on Thursday at the combine, slightly shorter than the 6-foot-4 listing he had while in Tempe.
Harry was also tied for the heaviest wide receiver with Metcalf at the combine at 228 pounds, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson.
