Cardinals’ Justin Pugh doesn’t care much for Matthew Berry’s fantasy rant

There’s always two sides to everything.
On one side, you have ESPN’s Matthew Berry ranting over the Arizona Cardinals “activating” starting running David Johnson when the RB only registered one carry before giving way to backup rusher Chase Edmonds. For those who started Johnson in fantasy football, Berry most likely being one of them, things didn’t go swimmingly.
The Cardinals added to the fantasy fire, letting those know “you should’ve played Chase Edmonds in fantasy,” which made Berry even angrier.
On the other, you have the actual, real-life NFL team, who values winning a game over helping fantasy football owners pick up the W.
So if Berry gets a fantasy rant, so does Cardinals offensive lineman Justin Pugh.
“He was acting like a four-year old kid,” Pugh said of the fantasy footballer. “We’re in the NFL, this is a business. We’re going out and winning football games, I’m not worried about his fake fantasy football team.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing fantasy football, it’s great for our game. It drives up viewership, it gets people excited about it, but at the end of the day, we’re making the best decision for the Cardinals, the best decision for David Johnson and the best decision for us to win games.”
Pugh didn’t sit idly by, either.
The lineman took to Twitter following Berry’s rant, although Pugh did give Berry an extra year on his age.
Syracuse alumn!?! Expected a little more class out of you @MatthewBerryTMR ! Instead you’re acting like a 5 year old. https://t.co/dO19JOh0No

“He still hasn’t responded back to me, I guess he doesn’t want to have a conversation about it,” Pugh said. “But he tried to come at the Cardinals’ neck, tried to come at the franchise when we’re talking about a fantasy game.
“So a little overreaction from that guy and it is what it is. I don’t have to deal with it because no one drafts me in fantasy, but I’m sure the skill guys will have a better take on it.”
The floor is yours, Berry.
