Nationals dugout living its best life in dominant showing over Astros

Oct 23, 2019, 10:26 PM

The Washington Nationals absolutely obliterated the Astros on Wednesday night, beating Houston 12-3 in Game 2 of the World Series.

But while the lopsided win moves the Nats one step closer to winning the World Series, it was the dugout celebrations that kept fans tuned in to the blowout.

It all started in the seventh inning, as Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki smacked a solo shot to give Washington a 3-2 lead over Houston.

Then the party in the dugout ensued, with Gatorade bongo drums included.

Did someone say, Macarena?

The dance moves must have provided some good juju for the Nationals as they proceeded to pour it on the Astros, scoring six runs in the inning to take an 8-2 lead.

We wouldn’t have to wait long for the encore, either.

An Adam Eaton two-run homer in the eighth inning not only extended his team’s lead, it gave the dugout another chance to lay on the gas.

Literally.

Like the first, Eaton went down the line of teammates, but instead of breaking out the dance moves, he crab walked before joining Howie Kendrick for a one-of-a-kind, pedal-to-the-metal celebration.

But wait, there’s more.

Padding the lead with a ninth-inning solo smash, Micheal A. Taylor gave the team yet another reason to get down.

There was even time for hugs.

We think it’s safe to say the Nationals are living their best life.
