Arizona State opened up three offensive coaching positions after firing coordinator Rob Likens, wide receivers coach Charlie Fisher and tight ends coach Donnie Yantis.

One of those spots has been filled.

As reported by multiple reports on Monday, ASU added Prentice Gill to its staff. Gill also changed his Twitter profile picture to a pitchfork and added “ASU Wide Receiver Coach” to his bio.

Gill was most recently an offensive analyst with Oregon this past season. Before that, he was a wide receivers coach for USC from 2016-2018 as a graduate assistant.

He will seemingly take over handling the wide-outs for ASU.

He was a wide receiver in his playing days for Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, then Los Angeles Harbor Junior College followed by two years at Old Dominion.

His LA connections could give ASU another advantage in recruiting in Southern California.

Three four-star receiving recruits from SoCal committed to Oregon for next season and a former USC wide-out, Devon Williams, is transferring to UO.

According to Sun Devil Source, Gill was already in a recruiting meeting and will be on the recruiting trail this week.

Arizona State has one more game to play. There are still coaching spots in flux and for the time being, running backs coach Shaun Aguano and offensive line coach Dave Christensen will be co-offensive coordinators.

But, Gill fills one spot and could be a valuable resource in recruiting as well.
