Steve Mariucci either truly believes the Arizona Cardinals pass-catching duo of Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins is in for a historic day or he just really enjoys trolling his coworkers.
The former San Francisco 49ers coach and analyst on the NFL Network declared during the Bold Predictions segment of the GameDay Morning show that Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins would each break NFL records against the Dolphins in Week 9.
Both of the records Mariucci predicted to fall were held by his colleagues on the desk: Kurt Warner and Michael Irvin.

For Kyler, Mariucci predicted he would break Warner’s franchise record for passing yards against the Dolphins in 2008 when he threw for 361 yards. Mariucci predicted that Kyler Murray would finish with 388 yards passing in the game.
Mariucci then changed his aim to Michael Irvin, claiming that Hopkins would break Irvin’s record of 12 receptions in Week 9 when Irvin caught that many passes against the Dolphins in 1996.
Warner also made a offensive-minded bold prediction involving both Murray and Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, saying they will combine for more than 627 passing yards and eight total touchdowns.
Irvin’s prediction involved a stuffed therapy dog to help him make a call against his former team, the Dallas Cowboys. He predicted the Pittsburgh Steelers would record more sacks than the Cowboys will score points during their Week 9 matchup.
