Drew said he tested positive on Friday and immediately began self-isolating afterward.
He also said the Bears’ roster has tested negative on Friday and Sunday, with Drew’s positive test being the first such one for the team in 12 weeks of testing.
Baylor associate head coach Jerome Tang will assume head coaching duties during the two-day tournament, which includes games on Wednesday and Thanksgiving.
CBS Sports columnist Matt Norlander reported on Sunday that the Bears will fly to Connecticut on Monday and be tested once they reach the Mohegan Sun, where the tournament is being played.
The second-ranked Bears and No. 18 ranked Sun Devils are scheduled to face off at 7:30 p.m. Arizona time on Wednesday, with both teams facing either Boston College or Villanova in the final day of the tournament.
