49ers DB Jimmie Ward mimics Kyler Murray, then allows DeAndre Hopkins catch

Cardinals fans probably did not appreciate 49ers defensive back Jimmie Ward mocking Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray.
After San Francisco recovered a fumble by Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds, Ward posted up in the end zone in a meditative pose, just as Murray has done a few times this season.

The trolling upset San Francisco fans soon after, though. After the Cardinals got a stop, their offense targeted Ward on a scramble play that saw Murray allow receiver DeAndre Hopkins to compete for a jump ball.
The pass was underthrown, but Ward didn’t adjust so well to make a play on the ball.

It made for a 30-yard reception, which the Cardinals capitalized on with the very next play: a fade to Hopkins in the end zone for a touchdown from nine yards out.
That score was the difference Sunday in the 17-10 Arizona win at State Farm Stadium.
Niners fans were not enthralled with the decision by Ward to troll Murray. Others found the end result quite funny.

Good thing Jimmie Ward mocked Murray a couple minutes ago so he could then stand still on an under thrown ball. This team stinks.

Murray, however, wasn’t so bothered by Ward’s mimicking.
“They earned it,” the quarterback said when asked about Ward’s pose. “Get the ball back, do whatever you want to do.”
