The Arizona Cardinals signed offensive lineman Zack Johnson to the active roster from the practice squad, elevated defensive lineman Josh Mauro and offensive lineman Danny Isidora as standard elevations and elevated linebacker Joe Walker as a COVID-19 replacement on Thursday.

The moves are in response to defensive tackle Corey Peters remaining on the COVID-19 list, center Rodney Hudson remaining on the injured reserve with a rib injury and offensive lineman Max Garcia and defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence being questionable for the Thursday night game against the Green Bay Packers.

Johnson signed with the Cardinals practice squad after playing with the Packers during the preseason. The undrafted free agent spent his entire rookie season on the Packers’ practice squad in 2020. He played both guard and tackle in college.

Isidora has appeared in three consecutive games with Arizona after being elevated from the practice squad each week. He has six starts in 29 career games after getting drafted by Minnesota as a fifth-round pick in 2017.

Mauro played last Sunday against the Texans after being elevated from the practice squad as well and had one tackle in the contest.

He spent time with the organization from 2014-17. In 47 games with Arizona, Mauro totaled 70 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

The 27-year-old Walker played in the last two games for the Cardinals, totaling two special teams tackles and one tackle on defense. He had 11 starts in 16 games for the Cardinals in 2019, making 65 tackles with one quarterback hit and a forced fumble.
