Kerr Kriisa exits Arizona Wildcats’ locker room in wheelchair after injury

The first Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinal matchup on Thursday was bittersweet for the Arizona Wildcats.

Arizona held off Stanford 84-80 to advance to the semis, but Wildcats starting guard Kerr Kriisa suffered an ankle injury that required him to leave the locker room in a wheelchair:

“It’s a sprained ankle of some kind,” Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd told reporters postgame.

“I have no idea the severity of it or anything like that. But obviously it’s a quick turnaround so it’ll be tough and we’ll play it by ear. … I’m going to talk to my trainer after this and we’ll see.”

Kriisa was driving the lane and made a jump-pass that resulted in him landing on the foot of a Standford player to roll his right ankle in the final minute of the game.

He was audibly yelling and pounding the floor in pain before being taken out for the remainder of the contest.

Kriisa finished the ballgame with 10 points, one rebound and tied for a game-high five assists in 33 minutes played.

Arizona takes on the winner of Colorado and Oregon in the semifinals at 7 p.m. on Friday.
