The Arizona Cardinals saw their franchise quarterback return to the fold for voluntary OTAs on Wednesday.
We may not know the exact reasoning behind his attendance, but it very well could be a sign that things are at least moving in a positive direction on the contract-extension front.
What does it all mean moving forward? Does Murray double down on his commitment and show up to next week’s voluntary OTAs?
The QB wasn’t the only notable veteran back in the mix, either, as most of the starting offensive line and new Cardinals wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown also took part in the OTAs session.
Their participation in the voluntary work and willingness to be with the team was felt that much more following the tragic passing of cornerback Jeff Gladney. The corner and his girlfriend were killed in a car accident early Friday morning.
In the latest episode of Cardinals Corner, an Arizona Sports podcast, reporter Tyler Drake and 98.7 FM contributor Erik Ruby discuss where things go from here when it comes to Murray and the team They also dive into wide receiver Rondale Moore’s evolution and overall confidence entering his second NFL season.
Is he ready to take over the slot reins from the departed Christian Kirk? And just how important will his switched-up offseason routine be to his overall health this season?
And after weeks of talk, Drake and Ruby finally give their initial keys and way-too-early opinions on all 17 games in Arizona’s gauntlet of a schedule.
While the docket is filled with tough matchups, there’s some reprieve with very winnable games sprinkled in. It’s on the Cardinals, though, to show up.
