The Arizona Diamondbacks begin the 2023 regular season on Thursday, March 30, with a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road.
The D-backs play two games against the Padres before a day off and then a Thursday, April 6, home opener for a second four-game set against the Dodgers.
Major League Baseball on Wednesday released the entirety of its schedule for next season. For the first time in MLB history, each team will face every other team in the majors.
That will put a dent in the volume of intra-division games. The Diamondbacks will play 52 games against NL West foes, down from 76 from the past schedule format.
Every team will also play 64 intraleague games, down just two games from the old schedules.
That means interleague games will jump from 20 to 46 games for each team.
The D-backs’ notable weekend series at Chase Field include a May 26-28 set against the Boston Red Sox, a Sept. 15-17 trio of games against the Chicago Cubs and a 2023 finale from Sept. 29-Oct. 1 versus the Houston Astros.
Among other big baseball days, Arizona will host the New York Mets for a series opener on Tuesday, July 4.
The 2023 MLB All-Star game will take place July 11 at T-Mobile park in Seattle.
