TEMPE — The Seattle Seahawks aren’t that same juggernaut they once were years ago.

The Russell Wilson era ended this offseason and the Legion of Boom well before that.

Shoot, even the stadium has a new name.

One thing remains, though, in the 12th Man.

The crowd at Lumen Field poses another challenge for the Cardinals in Week 6, one Arizona welcomes.

“It’s going to be loud, but it’s always loud there,” offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum said Thursday. “It’s a great environment, a hostile environment and looking forward to going up and finding a way to get a win.”

“I think as a team we thrive being able to go into a stadium and quiet the crowd,” the lineman added. “That’s just the nature of being in the National Football League. Going into hostile environments, put your best foot forward and if you do it consistently enough, people don’t want to play you at home or away.”

For other members of the Cardinals, like defensive backs Byron Murphy Jr. and Budda Baker and quarterback Kyler Murray, the trip to Seattle also brings back memories from their younger days.

It’s like heading back home for Murphy and Baker, with the latter growing up in the area and the duo both attending Washington. Murray goes back to when his grandma called Seattle home.

“The crowd’s obviously always great,” Murray said Wednesday. “The tradition out there is great. For me, Seattle’s kind of like a second or third home … so I always enjoy when we’re out there.”

As a team, Arizona hasn’t minded the trip up north all that much in recent seasons. Since 2012, the Cardinals have compiled an NFL-best six road wins at Lumen Field.

The current coaching regime is 2-1 heading up north. With a victory on Sunday, Arizona would move to 11-1 over their last 12 away games.
