Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antonio Hamilton registered the first interception of his NFL career on Thursday Night Football vs. the New Orleans Saints.
With the Saints leading 7-3 in the first quarter, quarterback Andy Dalton tried to force a ball over the middle on 3rd-and-8 from the Cardinals’ 10 yard line.
Fortunately for Arizona, Hamilton undercut the route to negate a 15-play, 70-yard drive from turning into points.

The Cardinals turned the ensuing possession into a nine-play, 70-yard drive that resulted in a 28-yard field goal from Rodrigo Blankenship, who also hit from 50 yards out in the first quarter.
“Good to see (Hamilton) back,” Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury told Amazon Prime sideline reporter Kaylee Harting.
Hamilton is in his seventh NFL season after going undrafted out of South Carolina State in 2016.
He spent his first five-plus years with the Raiders (2016-17), Giants (2018-19), Chiefs (2020) and Buccaneers (2021) before signing with the Cardinals last season.
Before the 2022 campaign kicked off, Hamilton was placed on injured reserve after a grease fire in his kitchen resulted in severe burns on his feet and legs.
Thursday night’s Week 7 matchup against the Saints marks just the third game the Cardinals CB has played in this year.
The Cardinals beat the Saints, 42-34.
