The Arizona State Sun Devils (2-4, 1-2 Pac-12) will enter Saturday’s matchup with the Stanford Cardinal (2-4, 0-4) as 2.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Sun Devils are coming off of their bye week after an impressive victory against the then-No. 21 Washington Huskies. That marked ASU’s first conference win this season, as well as the first victory for interim head coach Shaun Aguano.
On the other hand, the Cardinal are winless in four conference games, but eeked out a 16-14 victory in South Bend against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last week.

Other notes
ASU will start Emory Jones at quarterback. The junior exited the Sun Devils’ Week 6 game against Washington with a head injury. Trenton Bourguet, who went 15-for-21 with three touchdown passes in relief of Jones, will be the backup.
Both teams are bottom-four in the Pac-12 against the run. ASU (ninth) allows 166.8 yards per game on the ground while Stanford (10th) allows 197.5.
However, in spite of the 30.7-yard deficit in rushing defense, the Cardinal hold nearly an equal lead in passing defense. Stanford’s 212.3 passing yards allowed per game ranks second in the Pac-12, while ASU’s 241.7 ranks sixth.
All told, the Sun Devils only 1.3 total yards per game more than Stanford, as well as 0.5 more points per contest.
Both teams also have 161 points through their six games at 26.8 per matchup, which is tied for eighth in the Pac-12.
