Following a season full of high expectations that ended in disappointment, Arizona State will look to regroup in 2016.
Their schedule for the 2016 season released on Tuesday, highlighted by trips to Eugene, Seattle and Tucson near the end of the season.
That game in Eugene on Oct. 29 will be the first for the Sun Devils since 2011, a 41-27 losing effort to the Ducks.
ASU has a Thursday game in 2016 against Utah and will not have to battle with a short week, with their bye week coming the week before.
Date | Opponent | Location |
---|---|---|
Sept. 3 | NAU | Tempe, AZ |
Sept. 10 | Texas Tech | Tempe, AZ |
Sept. 17 | UTSA | San Antonio, TX |
Sept. 24 | California | Tempe, AZ |
Oct. 1 | USC | Los Angeles, CA |
Oct. 8 | UCLA | Tempe, AZ |
Oct. 15 | Colorado | Boulder, CO |
Oct. 22 | Washington State | Tempe, AZ |
Oct. 29 | Oregon | Eugene, OR |
Nov. 10 | Utah | Tempe, AZ |
Nov. 19 | Washington | Seattle, WA |
Nov. 25 | Arizona | Tucson, AZ |
The Sun Devils move on from the Mike Bercovici era and now new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey and head coach Todd Graham have to figure out who their next starting quarterback will be. The task will not be easy, with potentially four different players vying for the job.
One area on offense that ASU fans can count on for 2016 is the running game. The combination of Kalen Ballage and Demario Richard is projected to be back for another year after rushing for 1,677 yards and 11 touchdowns combined.
