Wildcats take Territorial Cup back to Tucson

TEMPE, AZ — The Arizona Wildcats, in the midst of a deeply disappointing
season, found
enough juice in the fourth quarter to rally and beat their arch-rival Arizona
State 31-27 at Sun Devil Stadium on Saturday night.

Bryson Beirne, Arizona’s backup quarterback, came in for an injured Nick
Foles late in the fourth quarter and hit Juron Criner on a 23-yard
touchdown
pass with 5:18 to go to give Arizona their winning margin.

ASU got the ball back, but a drive stalled deep in Arizona territory when
Brock
Osweiler’s pass was intercepted by linebacker Jourdan Grandon.

The Sun Devils would have another opportunity, but on 2nd and 10 from
the
Arizona 15-yard line, Osweiler’s fourth down pass intended for Mike Willie
was knocked away as time expired.
