Graham hopeful DT Sutton will play vs. UCLA

When Arizona State defensive tackle Will Sutton forced a fumble against Oregon on the second play of the game Thursday, Sun Devil Stadium erupted.

But just as quickly as fans started to cheer, they went silent when they saw Sutton being carried off the field in pain just moments later.

Just like that, hope for an upset against Oregon and a good season began to fade.

“I was pretty sick after the game,” Arizona State head coach Todd Graham told Arizona Sports 620’s Burns and Gambo Monday. “The prognosis, we didn’t feel good about.”

Graham said he was initially expecting Sutton to be lost for the season, but that is not the case anymore.

“The next day, the swelling wasn’t bad, he went and got an MRI and there is not any ligament damage or anything like that,” Graham said.
