The Arizona State Sun Devils are just outside the top 10 teams in the nation in the latest Associated Press poll, thanks to their hard-fought 16-13 overtime victory over Utah on Saturday night.
The newest AP Top 25 list was released Sunday, and Todd Graham’s group placed 11th, up four spots from the previous week.
Additionally, ASU moved up in the latest Amway Coaches Poll, although it was just a two-spot leap — from 14th to 12th.
The Sun Devils are currently 14th in the Playoff Selection Committee’s rankings, which won’t be updated until Tuesday.
Utah was ranked 18th in the AP poll last week, and the Utes’ loss to Arizona State led to a two-spot drop on the newest list.
ASU (7-1, 5-1) next will face Notre Dame, which is now ranked No. 8 in the AP poll, on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Sun Devil Stadium. Notre Dame (7-1) is coming off a 49-39 road victory over Navy on Saturday.
