Thursday it was announced that the Arizona State Sun Devils had named Bobby Hurley as the basketball program’s 15th head coach in program history.

With the search now over, many Sun Devil fans are wondering what exactly they’re getting in Hurley. While Hurley spent the previous two seasons as the head coach at the University of Buffalo, he is perhaps best known as the star point guard on the 1990-91 and 1991-92 back-to-back national championship teams at Duke.

After leading the Bulls to the school’s first NCAA Tournament berth and first MAC Tournament Championship this past season, Hurley became a hot name once the coaching carousel started spinning, as the 43-year-old was linked to a number of openings across the country.
