The Arizona Cardinals have activated long snapper Aaron Brewer off of the injured reserve list, the team announced Friday.
Brewer was placed on IR Oct. 9 after he suffered a wrist injury against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.
Brewer’s activation decreases the number of Cardinals’ players on injured reserve from 13 to 12, but potentially eliminates the possibility of quarterback Carson Palmer and running back David Johnson returning this season after both suffered injuries.
Johnson has been out since the first week of the season with a broken wrist suffered against the Detroit Lions, while Palmer suffered a broken arm against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7.
A product of San Diego State University, Brewer signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2012. In four seasons with Denver, Brewer snapped in 64 regular season games and eight in the postseason.
In 2016, he signed with the Cardinals and appeared in 13 games. Before his injury, Brewer appeared in the Cardinals’ first five games this season.
