The Christmas edition of college basketball’s AP Poll is out and Arizona State has remained in the No. 3 overall spot.
Coming off home wins over Longwood and Pacific, the Sun Devils now prepare for the start of Pac-12 play Saturday against the No. 17 Arizona Wildcats, who jumped one spot in the latest poll.
Speaking of the Wildcats, they took down North Dakota State and Connecticut in the past week, making it a seven-game winning streak since returning from the Bahamas with a three-game losing streak.
Villanova and Michigan State stayed in the top two spots, respectively. Villanova begins division play against DePaul and Butler on the road, while the Spartans stay in non-conference play against Cleveland State and Savannah State.
The Sun Devils received six first-place votes, one more than the previous week.
