Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette may be in the NFL, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t forgotten where he came from and who helped him along the way.
In an unselfish gesture, Fournette paid it forward, helping a former trainer from his LSU days pay for college.
Jhane Lowsoo was in a bit of bind, trying to pay for her fifth and final year of school. The only problem was that she was no longer receiving aide since she was in her fifth year.
Ultimately, she decided to start a GoFundMe campaign after getting turned down for several loans in hopes of being able to finish up her schooling.
“I have 2 come out of pocket to pay for my senior year. It’s 10k for the entire year! I currently work 2 jobs for the other 5k! $1, $5 ANYTHING HELPS! I’ve come too far to stop here! Thank you everyone!” her Twitter post read.
That’s where Fournette stepped in.

“I know her personally. We’re both from New Orleans. Also, she was my trainer at LSU. She took care of me when I needed massages — just the little things to take care of my body — and she’s from my hometown so why not give back to where I’m from?” Fournette told talkSPORT. “I feel like everybody needs that chance to in order to do something they want to do in life.”
And even though Fournette has offered to pay for the full amount, Lowsoo’s GoFundMe continues to rise.
