Mike Glennon was efficient for the second game in a row as he played half of the Arizona Cardinals’ final preseason game Thursday.

He has gone 8-for-10 in consecutive games since missing the second preseason game due to a forearm injury.

While Glennon only averaged 3.5 yards per completion last week against the Dallas Cowboys, he showed his touch with a pair of long throws to wide receiver Trent Sherfield and another to Brice Butler on Thursday.

Glennon completed 80 percent of his passes for 69 yards and a touchdown.

On the first drive, the two connected over the middle for a 26-yard gain. Glennon’s throw was over the defender and allowed Sherfield to catch it in stride and get inside the five-yard line.

This set up a two-yard slant route to reciever Greg Little for Glennon’s first touchdown in a Cardinals uniform.

Glennon utilized a range of options Thursday, completing passes to three receivers, two running backs and a tight end in his two quarters of action.

As the first half wound down, Glennon took two shots down field.

The first, an 18-yard completion to Sherfield, again allowed the receiver to gain yards after the catch. Glennon got sacked two plays later, though, preventing any further progression and forcing the Cardinals to punt.

The next was a 19-yard catch by Butler.

However, with only five seconds remaining in the half, it was too late for the Cardinals to do more damage.

Arizona went into the half with a 7-3 lead.
