Adidas unveils special cleats for Jackie Robinson Day

Most MLB players have pretty fresh cleats, but Adidas took the style of baseball footwear to a whole new level with its new Jackie Robinson Day gear.
The special edition cleats honor the 70th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball, which was on April 15, 1947.
The mainly-white cleats feature a bronze trim and a Robinson signature on the side of the shoe in gold foil. The heel also shows a picture of Brooklyn’s Ebbets Field, where Robinson played home games with the Brooklyn Dodgers for 10 seasons. His stats are also printed on the back heel tabs.
To say Robinson had a remarkable career would be an understatement. He batted .311, hit 137 home runs and stole 197 bases. He made six All-Star teams, won the NL Rookie of the Year in 1947 and was the 1949 NL MVP.
His Dodgers won the World Series in 1955, and Robinson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.
