D-backs garnering some uniform love from MLB players

The Diamondbacks may be 17th in terms of record 50 games into the season, but what about on the threads spectrum of things?
With that question in mind, MLB.com’s Anthony Castrovince polled 85 MLB players on their favorite uniforms.
The only rule?
Players couldn’t vote for their own team.
The D-backs fared well, coming in fifth — tying the St. Louis Cardinals — with five votes.
Just don’t ask which D-backs uniform — there are quite a few — the players chose.
While some players mentioned the 2001 purple throwbacks or even the 2007 Sedona red jerseys, one color seemed to stick out the most.
“I’m going with a really unpopular opinion, and I’ll say the Diamondbacks. I like that shade of gray,” San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers said. “That’s very out there. I know I’m the only one, but I like that darker gray.”
To Myers’ surprise, he wasn’t the only one feeling the gray.
Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers added that he “might be one of the few that likes their new setup over the past three years with the dark gray look.”
Landing at the top was tie between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees with 10 votes apiece. Players mentioned “historic” and “classic” when talking about the two uniforms.
The San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Oakland A’s came in seventh with four votes each.
Rounding out the NL West was the San Diego Padres, who received just one vote.
At least they weren’t like the Milwaukee Brewers, whose vote was counted as illegal since their own player, pitcher Josh Hader, was the lone vote for the team.
