On Friday, Aug. 2, the Arizona State Men’s Hockey team will become the first NCAA program to play in Beijing.
The inaugural Renaissance Cup (Fu Xing Cup) is a five-team round-robin tournament. In addition to the Sun Devils, one team will be representing the Kontinental Hockey League and three teams will represent the Valley Hockey League.
To honor their historic trip to China, the team will be wearing Chinese inspired uniforms created by Adidas.
The uniforms will sport three different flags: a United States flag, an Arizona State flag and the flag of China. The Sun Devils also have Chinese writing on the front and back of their sweaters.
