Arizona Cardinals to wear black uniforms during Crucial Catch game

The Arizona Cardinals will be playing in black jerseys for the first time this season when they host the Atlanta Falcons at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.

The jerseys have white lettering with a red border and red accents around the collar, shoulders and down the side of the body.

They’ll also be wearing a white helmet with their standard logo and white pants with a black stripe on each leg with red borders.

Sunday’s contest will be the Cardinals’ Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer game.

NFL’s Crucial Catch campaign began in 2009 and has since raised over $18.5 million for the American Cancer Society.

Last season, NFL fields across the country were coated in colors that represented various types of cancer research.

Players also wore accessories with the research colors in addition to the official Crucial Catch logo on the back of their helmets.
