ESPN’s Matthew Berry, clearly a lover of the Arizona Cardinals’ running back situation, is probably having a much better Sunday than last week.

After using a nearly-seven-minute-long tirade to voice his discontent with the Cardinals and how they handled starting running back David Johnson’s active status against the New York Giants, Berry was much more subdued ahead of the Cardinals’ matchup with the New Orleans Saints.

With Johnson officially out with an ankle injury against the Saints, no guesswork was needed as to which running back would handle the bulk of the carries Sunday.

It’s the latest between a back-and-forth between the two.

The fantasy football analyst wasn’t too thrilled with how the Cardinals handled Johnson’s availability in Week 7, as the starter was officially active, but recorded just three snaps, giving way to backup Chase Edmonds. Edmonds had himself a day, rushing for more than 125 yards and three scores, adding to the fantasy football woes.

The Cardinals took things a step further, letting fantasy football enthusiasts know they should have started the running back out of Fordham, with the help of a social media fox — or maybe it’s a bunny, to Berry’s chagrin. Coincidence? We think not.

It was no skin off of the Cardinals’ back, who picked up their third straight win. For Cardinals offensive lineman Justin Pugh, the rant was nothing more than a temper tantrum.

While the feud seems to have taken a backseat, especially after Johnson’s inactive designation, there’s always a chance for it to reignite.

Zach Zenner, anyone?
