Cardinals’ threads near bottom of NFL in uniform power ranking

Whether it was an overhaul or a small tweak, a total of seven NFL teams changed up their threads ahead of the 2020 season.
The Arizona Cardinals, however, were not one of them, opting to go with jerseys they’ve worn since 2005.
The lack of changes to the Cardinals’ gameday attire was taken into account in the USA Today’s updated uniform ranking.
With outdated jerseys, Arizona landed at No. 31 on the list, down a spot from last year’s ranking.

It shouldn’t shock most Cardinals fan of the ranking. After all, quarterback Kyler Murray has even said he would like to see the team go back to the state flag era of uniforms, saying the current threads are “outdated.”
He’s not the only one, as many around the Valley have felt the Cardinals are in need of a new look, with some making new mock ups featuring the iconic Arizona state flag on the shoulders.

After landing at No. 3 last season, the Los Angeles Chargers and their updated attire knocked off the Las Vegas Raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers for the top spot in the ranking.

Nearly all of the teams who saw changes to their uniforms this offseason saw a bumped up rating. The New England Patriots did not see a change, while the Rams dropped 10 spots to No. 16.
Looking at the rest of the NFC West, the Seattle Seahawks landed at No. 4, the same as in 2019, while the San Francisco 49ers moved up two spots to no. 12.
