This marks the first time the Coyotes have a purple as the primary color of their jerseys. It also features an adidas patch and gecko patch on the shoulder.
Each NHL team is collaborating with adidas on the new “Reverse Retro” jersey line. The new look is expected to be a remixed version of a beloved jersey from each team’s past.
The NHL and adidas first teased the new uniforms on Tuesday in a Twitter video:

The number on the back represents the year the remixed jersey is derived from.
Arizona’s will be based on their 1998 jerseys, when the team was known as the Phoenix Coyotes.
Fans will have to wait a few more days to see the whole set though. The league will be unveiling the retro uniforms on Nov. 16.
It isn’t the only uniform change the Coyotes will be sporting this season.
In October, the team announced that players will wear a Kachina patch in the 25 games they don the classic Kachina jerseys as a way to celebrate the franchise’s 25 years in the Valley.
A Coyotes head patch that features the current logo and Arizona state flag will be attached on the standard red and white jerseys.
