First-year head coach Marcus Freeman, defensive lineman Isaiah Foskey and tight end Michael Mayer played Bradley Cooper’s, Ed Helms’ and Zach Galifianakis’ parts in the recreated desert scene.
In the video, Freeman and his players embark on a task to get their new uniforms when they run into Mike Golic and Mike Golic Jr.
Golic and Golic Jr. are former Notre Dame football players who both played football for the Fighting Irish at one point.
After being fooled and receiving an old Notre Dame jersey from Golic and Golic Jr., the Irish are then sent on an adventure to go to the city of Las Vegas in hopes of finding the real Shamrock Series jersey.
Once on a hotel rooftop, they find the real white and gold Shamrock Series jerseys in triumphant fashion, celebrating and hugging one another.
In 2022, the Irish will rock the Shamrock jerseys when they host BYU on Oct. 8 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
