Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Rashaad Coward will not return against the Tennessee Titans with a chest injury, the team announced.

The lineman was injured with 11:59 left to go in the second quarter.

With injuries stacking up in Arizona’s trenches, Coward has seen his preseason action increase each week.

After seeing 24 reps (36% of available offensive snaps) in the team’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals, he saw 65 snaps (96%) the following week against the Baltimore Ravens. Only fellow tackle Josh Miles saw more snaps in the loss to Baltimore.

Coward was signed by Arizona on Aug. 2.

While the lineman figures to be among the team’s final cuts, he could be a candidate for the Cardinals’ practice squad.

Coward, who turns 28 years old in November, was an undrafted defensive lineman out of Old Dominion in 2017.

However, after signing on with the Chicago Bears, then-head coach Matt Nagy converted Coward to an offensive lineman for the 2018 season.

The 6-foot-5, 319-pound Coward started 10 games at right guard in place of the injured Kyle Long in 2019.

In his four-year career, Coward has played a total of 30 games, 15 of which have been starts — all with the Bears. He can play either guard or tackle.

Arizona holds a 7-6 lead in the second quarter.
