Cardinals place Tyrann Mathieu on injured reserve, re-sign Chris Clemons

The Arizona Cardinals officially placed safety Tyrann Mathieu on injured reserve Tuesday.
Mathieu suffered a torn ACL in his right knee late in Arizona’s 40-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday and will miss the remainder of this season.
The 23-year-old finishes 2015 with 89 combined tackles, five interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble and 16 passes defensed.
In a corresponding move, the Cardinals re-signed safety Chris Clemons.
Clemons played in the first five games of the season for Arizona, tallying two special teams tackles and one tackle on defense. He was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 14 and then reached an injury settlement with the team on Oct. 19.
In 78 career games, Clemons has 257 tackles, four interceptions, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
