There are a lot of names floating around about the available head coaching position at Arizona State. One man now seems to be the front runner.

According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, Duke assistant Jeff Capel is meeting with ASU Monday.

Capel was a college basketball head coach from 2002-11. He spent his first four seasons at Virginia Commonwealth and spent the next five seasons at Oklahoma.

He had a 30-win season in 2008-09 and took the Sooners to the Elite 8 before falling to North Carolina. The next two seasons were the worst of his coaching career, as he had a combined 27-36 record. Capel quickly joined Mike Krzyzewski’s staff at Duke after he was fired in 2011.

ASU has been searching for a coach since they fired long-time leader Herb Sendek last Tuesday.
